Shane McDermott, GISP - President Shane
Shane has a degree in Business Management from Quincy University, as well as an A.S. Degree in Computer Science from John Wood in Quincy, Illinois. Shane was also one of the first in the State of Illinois to earn the GIS Professional (GISP) designation. With over 12 years in the field of GIS his career has progressed from a GIS Specialist, to Project Manager, to GIS Manager, and now on to President of Mid-West GIS, Inc.

Ryon Gross, GISP - Business Development Manager
Ryon joined Mid-West GIS in 2008 and has over 9 years of experience in the GIS field. Ryon previously managed one of the largest GIS departments in Texas creating parcel base maps for clients that total over 1 million parcels. Ryon has also been instrumental in developing custom water and wastewater data models as well as developing web applications to publish GIS data online.

Ryon specializes in Enterprise level mapping and SDE database management. He created the first GIS repository that allowed every entity within a county to have direct access to GIS Data and ownership information from the Assessor's office.

Joseph Darnell - GIS Specialist Joe
Joe has 4 years of experience in the field of GIS. He has been the lead technician on projects such as Water Utility data development, Sewer Utility data development, GPS collection of utility information, RTK GPS collection of sewer utilities, and other municipal mapping projects.

Michael Ohnemus - GIS Specialist Mike
Mike has an A.S. Degree from John Wood in Quincy, Illinois. Mike has 3 years of GIS experience with an additional 4 years of experience in the field of surveying. He brings valuable land based mapping experience to the organization. He has been the lead technician on projects such as County Parcel data development, County Land Use development, Parcel Maintenance, Road Centerline data development, 911 Addressing, and other county mapping projects.

Joe Schrand, GPS Technician
Joseph Schrand joined Mid-West GIS, Inc. in 2008. He specializes in GPS Data Collection using Magellan Pro Mark III data collectors. He has an Associates Degree of Applied Science from John Wood in Quincy, IL.
